Dow Jones Billing Analyst in United States

Job Description:

This role will report to the Order Management Associate Director remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform billing, daily reconciliations, research and customer service-related activities supporting the company's business operations

  • Perform payment application while making sure payments are applied accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Monitor the central email box where customer billing replies and inquiries go, along with answering phone calls through the billing line

  • Enter detailed notes and updated client information in our CRM system

  • Work with Dow Jones Finance team to complete vendor forms and customer registrations

  • Submit customer invoices into their designated billing portals, as needed

  • Meet defined department and individual goals along with assigned month end reporting requirements and metrics

  • Assist our Collections Specialist as needed, with Collection related responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships within the department and company including OPIS, AXXIS, and Dow Jones. Communicate with internal staff regarding customer’s accounts

  • Maintain client confidentiality and always deliver a friendly, but professional level of service

  • Comply with company and departmental policies, procedures and performance standards including internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Research and perform special projects and other administrative activities, as needed

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years in the accounting field, strongly preferred

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Ability to demonstrate Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills

  • Knowledge of Google Suites, including G-sheets, Docs and Slides

  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, and internal accounting controls

  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented, the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines

  • Preferred history of demonstrated success in a fast paced, flexible environment with shifting demands and priorities.

  • Effective research and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to work from 8:30am to 5:30pm ET

Pay Range: $40,000 - $160,000
