Dow Jones Research Editor, Special Interest Persons - English and Korean, Thai or Vietnamese language in SINGAPORE, Singapore

Job Description:

The role of the Research Editor for Special Interest Persons – Lower Threshold (SIP-LT) is to research and load onto editorial interface with accurate, high-quality records of individuals who meet specified coverage criteria and to ensure that volume targets are met.

Based on a set of guidelines, the Research Editor is expected to deliver the most comprehensive coverage possible required for the Dow Jones Watchlist audience, with a focus in Korea, Thailand or Vietnam. The Research Editor is also responsible for verifying the accuracy of the material he/she and other team members are adding to the database, including but limited to continual scanning and extraction from known information sources and by on-going monitoring for new sources. The Research Editor will also support the Desk Editor in identifying and dealing with quality issues and responding to client/sales queries and support the SIP-LT team in processing the addition of new data.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

  • Education to degree level

  • Fluency in English and either Korean, Thai or Vietnamese

  • Research or editorial experience

  • Strong knowledge of (and interest in) criminal news

  • Strong research, organizational and communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Flexible team player with a high level of initiative and self-motivation, to achieve business goals

  • Able to handle large volumes of information and meet deadlines

  • Excellent reading skills and eye for detail
