Dow Jones Technical Account Manager in PRINCETON, New Jersey

Job Description:

Dow Jones is looking for a Technical Account Manager within their Newswires feeds Integration Team to work with prospects and customers to fully understand their requirements and provide consultation and technical support around the products and content available to them and how to best integrate. The candidate should be a self-starter who can work well under pressure and balance competing priorities in a dynamic, results-driven work environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers and partners in a consultative capacity to fully understand their needs and deliver solutions on how best to meet their goals. Develop solution designs and implementation documentation to agree with the customer and for Dow Jones’ records.

  • Work closely with the Sales and Partner teams to ensure that we fully understand the customers overall goals.

  • Develop and deliver customer presentations to illustrate how the solution will meet their needs and how easily they can integrate our products into their platforms and services.

  • Work with customers and partners both pre and post-sales to ensure they are getting the greatest value from our content and make recommendations for improvements as appropriate.

  • Plan and project manage all elements of customer engagements, such as, agreeing scope, implementation plans and providing status updates.

  • Provide 2nd-level support for Customer Service for all technical related issues for Newswires feed products. Troubleshoot technical issues for customers and partners post-implementation and provide them with solutions to overcome them.

  • Work with the Dow Jones Engineering teams to ensure customer and partner implementations are set up correctly and on time and any post-implementation issues are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Provide feedback to Dow Jones Product and Technology teams on emerging requirements and customer technology trends and any lessons learned from engagements.

  • Complete customer and partner certifications for all changes and new implementations to ensure they adhere to Dow Jones’ requirements.

  • Assess previous implementations at regular intervals to ensure they still adhere to Dow Jones’ certification requirements.

  • Ensure that all customer feeds are terminated at the end of their engagement and the necessary action is taken to ensure billing has stopped.

Position Requirements Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • A minimum 3+ years progressive experience in data communications, including TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, circuit provisioning, XML, and Web technologies.

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with complex, integrated systems that have various schedules and multiple layers of dependencies.

  • Able to demonstrate initiative and manage priorities in line with business strategy.

  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.

  • Experience of project managing customer implementations

  • Ability to convey technical issues in lay terms to financial professionals and other non-technical roles.

  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience working in a matrix environment, building and fostering strong, productive working relationships across multiple departments.

  • Proven experience at communicating at all levels.

  • Skilled in preparing and delivering effective presentations.

  • Experience with financial products, online media, publishing and social networking is a plus.

  • National and international travel may be required.
