About the Role

The Sr. Collections analyst will work with a team of 6 other analyst to maintain a high volume portfolio of customers across all Dow Jones digital subscription products. You will resolve customer-billing inquiries, send follow-up inquiries and communicate with sales teams, customer service teams and operation support teams. You may also be asked to assist in some departmental reporting and participation in special projects. You will be based in Princeton, New Jersey and report to the Global Collections Manager.

You Will:

  • Provide regular and prompt phone and email contact with assigned customers to build customer relationships and to ensure minimum bad debt risk. This is to be completed by achieving assigned collections and call quality targets.

  • Act in compliance with our goals, policies, and procedures as they pertain to collection activity, our collections strategy and specified Accounts Receivable goals.

  • Communicate with the Sales Department on past due accounts at specified intervals.

  • Inform sales representatives and management of changes in account status promptly.

  • Meet defined department and individual goals along with assigned month end reporting deadlines and activity metrics.

  • Establish a cooperative working relationship within the department and company (ex. Disputes, AR).

  • Communicate with internal staff regarding customer payments and issues preventing a resolution.

  • Provide excellent customer service and follow-up frequently for payment and commitments.

  • Provide high-quality customer service.

  • Always maintain client confidentiality and deliver.

  • Assist customers with vendor registration through online customer payment portals.

  • Enter detailed notes and client information in the online collection tool.

  • Research and perform special projects and other activities.

  • Provide backup support for Collections Supervisor.

You Have:

  • 5 years+ collections experience

  • Strong attention to detail, are goal oriented, and have the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated success in a fast paced, flexible environment with shifting demands and priorities.

  • Develop a positive working relationship with all partners.

  • Solid Microsoft suite skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Experience using several functions in Google Suite and maintaining complex documents in Google Drive (google sheets, google docs and google slides).
