Dow Jones Manager, FP&A in PRINCETON, New Jersey

Job Description:

The FP&A group is currently seeking a Manager to support our business focusing on the Print Operations and Customer Service groups. The Print Operations team is integral to the printing, production, and delivery (PP&D) of over 700k WSJ copies daily across the continental US, as well as the weekly PP&D of Barron's. The Customer Service team is the consumer and client-facing side of the organization handling thousands of calls and requests from around the globe. The successful candidate will help develop, communicate, and monitor departmental and product budgets and forecasts. They will also aid both teams with ad-hoc strategic analysis.


  • Consolidate and create monthly, quarterly and yearly results and forecasts into management level presentations.

  • Assist budget and long range plan process to drive revenue growth and cost efficiency.

  • Maintain a good understanding of the revenue and cost drivers and trends, and prepare reports to senior management.

  • Assist in driving project work from end to end (collection of data, creation of model/analysis of trends, and support identification of key issues and turning this into a management level presentation) to support strategic decisions within the business.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, CPA or Bachelors degree in finance or accounting preferred.

  • Relevant Commercial Finance experience 5 years+.

  • Planning and organizational skills including effective time management, especially around tight deadlines.

  • Approaches work with a constant improvement mindset.

  • High degree of proficiency in PC/computer skills including experience with various financial applications and reporting tools and with MS Office and Google Workspace.

  • SAP and TM1 financial systems experience preferred.

  • Demonstrates initiative, good communication skills and a team player.

  • Strong eye for detail and detail-oriented work practices
