Job Description:
The Account Management team is the center of excellence for post-sale custom programs within The Trust that produces custom campaigns with intelligence and integrity for Wall Street Journal | Barron’s Group. This team is dedicated to white-glove client service on bespoke programs (programs that include custom content, videos, podcasts, newsletters, activations, innovation, etc.) above and beyond standard media buys. In addition, Account Management acts as our client advocates and works with internal departments to ensure that our clients needs are understood and satisfied. The Account Manager will report directly into the Account Director.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is articulate, highly organized, resourceful, solutions oriented, customer service focused, a great communicator, problem solver, has a great attitude and is a team player. When leading a campaign, the Account Management Team is solely responsible for producing all elements of a client's program and collaborating with the respective DJ teams to manage the success of the client’s objectives. Custom program elements may include but are not limited to: custom content deliverables, live journalism and event components, primary or secondary research, media plan/key placements and all key client deadlines, launch dates, etc. so experience and expertise in these areas is key.
Responsibilities include:
Working with Client Partner to support and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships and driving renewal through the successful management of custom campaigns
Serving as the main POC in delivering on clients objectives and KPIs, successfully coordinating end-to-end production, execution and optimization of client campaign
Leverages knowledge of the client and industry as well as general best practices for The Trust to identify recommendations and solutions to strategically overcome client challenges and encourage renewals
Oversees cross-department collaboration and knows how/when to efficiently leverage necessary resources
Leads and maintains ownership of projects from beginning to end without losing sight of the big picture
Working across departments to foresee obstacles and proactively ensure the success of the program
Oversees cross-functional processes across key points of collaboration within the internal team, elevating any pain points in internal protocol to identify learnings and achieve resolution
Leads all client communications for dedicated campaigns working with internal teams to coordinate smooth client calls sets expectations, and manages quality of deliverables to deadline
Develops and presents recommendations and POVs that drive innovation for the business
Effective production and management of timeline including timeline development and internal approval, timing updates and milestone communications with client and agency
Manages weekly client and internal status calls; responsible for agendas, recaps, summarizing all recommendations and next steps in writing for clients and internal stakeholders
Ensure smooth production and implementation from campaign kick off to campaign wrap-up—consistently updates timelines and project management resources (content, promotion of content, traffic drivers, tagging, performance) and maintains clear communication with all campaign stakeholders
Requirements
2-3 years of experience project managing creative production
2-3 years of experience in white glove client management service
Experience with project management systems (i.e. Basecamp, Asana, Wrike, etc.)
Strong organizational skills - ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven, projects with cross-functional groups at the same time
Highly detail-oriented individual
Basic understanding of digital media planning and performance, ad operations, and custom brand research studies
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work effectively in a team environment
Solution-minded, always proactively looking for ways to improve efficiency and solve challenges
Experience navigating complex organizations
